DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

ShelterCity and World Talks are looking for new interns!

Are you passionate about human rights and do you want to get some work experience in the field? Do you want to improve your interview skills, or would you like to organize and set-up meetings and events? For ShelterCity you will be responsible for organizing activities for Omayma, such as network lunches and public events, accompanying her to meetings and showing her around town. For WorldTalks you will be responsible for finding human rights defenders to interview as well as interviewing them. It is possible to combine the two projects OR focus on one project.

 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • A commitment of 20 hours a week for 2 months during this autumn to organize events(Shelter City)
  • A commitment of a minimal of 8 hours a week (World Talks)
  • Enthusiasm for supporting the work of human rights defenders
  • Shelter City: (Egyptian) Arab-language proficiency is preferred, not required.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

  • A compensation of 150 euros (World Talks,8 hours a week) or 250 euros (Shelter city, 20 hours a week)
