All over the world, human rights defenders are fighting to protect human rights. However, a lot of these fights stay under the international radar and deserve more attention. World-Talks wants to give these human rights defenders a platform to spread their story.

World Talks is an initiative of The URGENT Foundation. The URGENT foundation aims to fuel the conversation on urgent social matters, mostly focusing on human rights. Our team consists of a mix of experienced journalists, young professionals, and enthusiastic interns. We conduct online video interviews with human rights defenders from all over the world which we record and then post online for the world to see. World-Talks is available to anyone with internet access and is a free and open source for journalists, teachers, researchers and others with a special interest in human rights.
