John Packer is the director of the Human Rights Research and Education Centre and a professor with the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. Having previously worked with the UNHCR, ILO, and the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, he has co-founded the Initiative on Quiet Diplomacy. Advocating against the human rights violations experienced by the indigenous communities in Canada, as well as advocating for more human rights worldwide, John Packer strongly believes in the interdependence of all human rights.
