World-Talks # Ionut Stan
Ionut Stan, the President of Gypsy organization in Romania, is a human rights activist fighting for equality. As a Roma himself, he has encountered a lot of discrimination and antiziganism growing up and living in Romania. His story is not unique: Public housing, equal chances to get a job and access to health care are still problems for the Roma community. With local projects, Ionut Stan tries to increase the level of integration and cooperation between Roma and Romanian people, thereby defending the human rights of the Roma community.
