Neza is a human rights activist and the director of the research institute The Peace Institute. The institute focuses on social issues, human rights, and the non-discrimination of minorities in Slovenia. She also advocates for the special Slovenian minority of Erased Persons in the country that were rendered essentially stateless by the Slovenian independence. Zhanar and Gulzada together founded Feminita, a grassroots organization for LBTQI+ women, engaged in research, advocacy, trainings, and strategic ligitation.
