World Talks # Zhanar & Gulzada
Zhanar and Gulzada together founded Feminita, a grassroots organization for LBTQI+ women, engaged in research, advocacy, trainings, and strategic ligitation. Starting Feminita in 2014, after Zhanar was arrested by the police at a protest, both Zhanar and Gulzada are adamant about staying in Kazahkstan and changing the country. They approach their activism from a feminist perspective, and by actively practicing solidarity.
